Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco confirmed their relationship in December 2024.

According to People, Benny Blanco, in a podcast last week, explained why the two haven't tied the knot yet despite getting engaged in December 2024. During an appearance on Therapuss with Jake Shane on the July 10 episode, Benny said that the two had been "working so much" that they didn't get the time to plan their wedding. Benny revealed that the couple had their hands full with filming music videos for their joint album after the engagement, and then Selena left to film Only Murders in the Building.

Blanco also mentioned that the two will get together in the summer to "sit down" and make plans.

Years before the two started dating, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco had released a song featuring Tainy and J Balvin, in 2019, titled, I Can't Get Enough. In December 2023, Selena took to her Instagram account to post a story confirming her relationship with Blanco. The story featured an image of her hand with a "B" initial ring. Fans also noticed the singer liking and leaving comments on Blanco's Instagram posts.

In January 2024, Benny posted a picture of Selena smiling into the camera, confirming their relationship. The two also attended the Golden Globe Awards and the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards in the same month.

In May 2024, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Benny revealed that he sees himself marrying Selena,

"When I look at her...I'm always just like, I don't know where it could be better than this."

In December 2024, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram. Selena flaunted her ring as Benny held her. The caption read,

"Forever begins now.."

In February 2025, the two announced their joint album, ahead of Valentine's Day. While speaking to Interview Magazine at the time, Selena, while opening up about their joint project, said:

"He listened to me. Most of my anxiety right now is wanting him to speak because I feel like he's more talented than I am in this field. This album definitely feels just as much mine as I'm sure it does his."

The two released their joint album, I Said I Love You First, on March 21, 2025, and during a joint appearance on the Today show, the couple revealed that they haven't started wedding planning yet due to their busy schedules.
