A Coldplay concert has gone viral for capturing an embarrassing moment between CEO of Astronomer Andy Byron and his Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot. However, there has been a development in the situation as people realise there is more to the story. This understanding came after viewers started recognising the woman next to the duo in the now-viral video.
Internet users have now also put a name to the face of the woman who was right next to Andy Byron and Kristin. When the fan cam captured the two, the woman beside them also started laughing and turning red. The internet speculated that she might be connected to the two. They went as far as to hypothesise that she might even know about the alleged affair.
Through even more research, it was deduced that the woman in question is Alyssa Stoddard. Alyssa shares a professional bond with Cabbot and was recently promoted. She received the brand new title of vice president of people at Astronomer, and was first hired by Cabot five months ago as head of people operations and strategy, before her promotion last week.
The promotion was announced by Kristin on LinkedIn.
“I’m incredibly proud to share that Alyssa Stoddard has been promoted to VP of People at Astronomer. I’ve had the true privilege of working with Alyssa at four different companies over the years — and every time she has brought an extraordinary mix of empathy, operational excellence and unwavering integrity. She’s also a thoughtful, values-driven partner who makes every team she touches stronger,” Cabot wrote.
However, the company Astronomer has reportedly said that "no other employees were captured on the big screen with the allegedly philandering couple."
In a statement, it was announced that, "Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly."
As the situation is still growing and no other confirmation has been announced by the Astronomer, the rumour mill is running wild.
What happened to Andy Byron at the Coldplay concert?
At a Coldplay concert on Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, a concert tradition turned into an embarrassing moment. The British pop band has a trend of putting people on the spot by showing them on the Jumbotron to catch memorable moments, like a proposal, funny placards, and more, but that was, however, not the case for Andy Byron.
As soon as the Jumbotron focused on Andy Byron and Kristin embracing each other, they realized they were on camera, and immediately let go of each other and started hiding their faces from the camera. Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin, made a cheeky comment from the stage after seeing the moment on the concert Jumbotron.
Martin stated, "Oh what... either they're having an affair or they're very shy."
The situation has caused a stir as online investigators found out that Andy Byron, who doesn't have much of a web presence, besides his LinkedIn posts, is said to be married to Megan Kerrigan Byron and shares two kids with her.
