Who is Amy Nelson? YouTuber Markiplier ties the knot with longtime girlfriend

Amy Nelson is a 31-year old graphic designer and animator from Cincinnati. American YouTuber, filmmaker and actor Markiplier has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Amy Nelson on September 20. The YouTuber took to announce his wedding in an Instagram post on October 8, 2025.

Markiplier or Mark Edward Fischbach, posted two images from the wedding in which the couple can be seen in white wedding attire enjoying the wedding cake, and looking at each other in all smiles. The caption read,

"10 years and counting. Going to go for the world record or die trying. 9/20/2025"

Mark has been dating Amy for nearly a decade and first went public with the graphic designer in June 2016 when the two posed for a photo together at VidCon. Nelson has maintained a relatively low profile, and has only been seen in public as Mark's girlfriend and now wife.

Since 2017, Markiplier voiced the character 5.0.5 in the Cartoon Network series Villainous. He has also starred and co-produced a podcast drama titled The Edge of Sleep. Along with Barnes and Musykens, Mark hosts the podcasts Distractible which rose to No.1 on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Fischbach has also entered other ventures. In April, 2023 Deadline announced that he began production of a film adaptation of the 2022 indie horror game Iron Lung by David Szymanski. He is directing , producing, writing and financing Iron Lung which stars him and Caroline Rose Kaplan.
