Anna Grace Phelan, a native Floridian who later settled in Jefferson, Georgia, started documenting her day-to-day activities on the video-sharing platform TikTok at the beginning of 2024. She shared videos of herself dancing, photos of her loved ones, and, finally, the first symptoms of her health issue.

In late August 2024, she started having problems with her eyesight and balance, and tingling or paralysis on the left side of her face and right leg. Because of her symptoms, she chose to undergo an MRI, and the findings indicated a concerning lesion on her brain.

After that, quick biopsies confirmed that the tumor was a grade 4 glioma, also known as a glioblastoma, which is a cancer that can't be cured. Phelan decided to speak her tale in public even though she knew the tumor was aggressive and deadly.

Her TikTok videos showed unfiltered looks at Anna Grace's radiation visits, chemotherapy, and how they affected her and her family's emotions. A video from September 5, 2024, that was quite emotional, showed her saying:

“Finding out I had a grade 4 cancerous tumor was not expected by me at all. Please continue to pray as I follow through God’s plan for me!”

Phelan spoke of hair loss, tiredness, and problems speaking as some of the bad effects he had over the following several months. She regularly spoke to her audience about mental health, spirituality, and getting help from others in the community.

Her regular updates not only got her thoughts and condolences but also donations. A GoFundMe campaign put up by her family and friends raised more than $65,000 to help pay for her medical costs and other needs.

Two days later, on May 23, 2025, Anna Grace's family posted on her TikTok page that she had died and gone to be with Jesus Christ. Nadine Phelan, her mother, wrote on behalf of her family that her daughter is now in Heaven, and remember that the only way to go to the promised celestial kingdom is via Jesus Christ.

On May 29, 2025, there will be a burial service for Anna Grace Phelan at Galilee Christian Church in Jackson County, Georgia. The church cemetery will be the next stop for the burial. Instead of flowers, the family has asked that anybody who wants to assist think about giving to groups that research brain cancer or that support other families who are going through the same or similar problems.
