Who is Ben ‘BitBoy’ Armstrong? All about crypto influencer arrested on harassment charges

Self-proclaimed "crypto-icon", Ben 'BitBoy' Armstrong was reportedly arrested in Cherokee County, Georgia, on June 27, 2025. His fame can be traced to his YouTube channel, Bit BoyX, which he reportedly started with his friend TJ Shedd.

The Georgia Gazette released a disheveled mugshot of the influencer. According to Cryptonews, he was arrested on six counts of harassment over phone calls and released the following day after "posting bond."

While the police haven't released an official statement about the arrest, BitBoy has reportedly been inactive on his social media. The influencer's X account is reportedly being handled by a third party, with the most recent X posts shared on June 7. The post reportedly asked for "messages" for Ben, while he was allegedly in "jail".

Ben 'BitBoy' Armstrong reportedly experienced a downfall in the last few years. From sharing information on cryptocurrency to building a YouTube channel, Ben was gradually rising to fame. However, the influencer reportedly experienced a major setback, which impacted his influencer life, physical, and mental health. Apart from his recent arrest in Georgia, Ben has reportedly been arrested on multiple counts in the last couple of years.

According to DL News, he was arrested in March for allegedly sending emails (@benarmstrong) to a judge, Kimberly Childs, linked to a defamation case. He is reportedly also facing a federal defamation lawsuit involving Shark Tank investor Kevin O' Leary. Amid the host of lawsuits against the influencer, he has minimised his social media activity.

Social media user @JakeGagain took to his X channel to share 'before and after' pictures of Ben. They captioned the pictures as,

"The downfall of BitBoy is out of a movie. Can't believe this is real"

While multiple reasons have been cited for the alleged "downfall", among the primary ones appears to be his removal from his co-founded company, HIT Network. According to DL News, the company attributed his removal to:

"alleged substance abuse, financial misconduct, and erratic behaviour."

Ben Armstrong has reportedly experienced multiple setbacks in his professional and personal life, leaving many concerned about his mental health. It is unclear what the influencer has been up to since his arrest in Georgia.
