In other news, just last month, a fellow Ghanaian TikToker named Kwadwo Emmanuel, also known as Obolo, was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a young woman named Yaa Baby in Yeji.
According to Ghana Web, Obolo was arrested alongside other local TikTokers Hayford Boateng, also known as GH Kobby, and Michael Kabutey. Obolo and Kabuety were granted bail, and in videos that went viral online, the former could be seen sitting in front of a police station as he spoke with other unknown persons after being released from prison.
GH Kobby, however, is currently in jail and awaits trial. An eyewitness reportedly came forward to accuse Obolo of fetching the weapon that was used in the shooting from the car, and that after the shooting, he tried to abscond in an attempt to escape being arrested. He was reportedly related to the victim.
"We were there when GH Kobby told Ashawo to bring the gun from his car. After he brought it, Kobby and the others left the scene. I warned Kobby to be careful because he said he wanted to fire a warning shot. He was struggling to load the bullets. I even told the lady [Yaa Baby] to move away from him, but she didn't listen," the eyewitness recounted.
As of this writing, however, further details about this case also remain unclear.
