The Costco Guys, a father and son duo known for reviewing food items from Costco on TikTok, recently revealed their interest in participating in All Elite Wrestling. According to Dexerto, the father, whose name is A.J. or Andrew Befumo, was a wrestler earlier in his career. In his interview with the outlet, he revealed that both he and his son, Eric "Big Justice" Befumo, were fully on board with appearing on AEW as the Costco Guys tag team, although some age restrictions would mean that his son cannot officially team up with him just yet.
The Costco Guys rose to fame in late 2023 with videos reviewing various food items from Costco. In the past year and a half, the Costco Guys have garnered over two million followers on TikTok and released their signature song titled "We Bring the Boom," which also received widespread love from fans. Their growing popularity also led to an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October 2024.
More about the Costco Guys' appearance on AEW
According to the official rules of the All Elite Wrestling, an individual must be at least eighteen years old to officially participate in a match individually or as part of a tag team. In his interview, Eric, or Big Justice, as he is popularly known, spoke about the possibility of him and his father, AJ Befumo of the Costco Guys, making an appearance together at the AEW, but admitted that it would take some time, as he is only twelve years old. He said:
"He’s gonna be too old!! I’m 12. By the time I’m gonna start wrestling, he’d be like 60!”
On the other hand, AJ added:
“A bit younger. If you’re 18, I’d be 55. I might have a year left in me… I think it’s a possibility.”
He further added about the career path he wanted his son and daughter, Ashley, to pursue, saying:
"When it comes to Big Justice, when it comes to Ashley, I want them to do whatever makes them happy in life. I’ll be here to support them as much or as little as they want. If Big Justice wants to be a pro wrestler, I think he would be one of the absolute best in the world. It’s completely up to him. If that’s what he wants to do, I’ll be here every step of the way.”
The age restriction has not stopped Big Justice from making appearances at the AEW. According to Wrestle Zone, the father-son duo has both been signed to make appearances at All Elite Wrestling. Talking about their contracts, AJ Befumo of the Costco Guys said:
"How much deeper does everybody want me to get? [Laughs] I thought I was deep. But yes, I am officially with AEW right now. I am under contract right now, as is Big Justice and The Rizzler, so yeah, we are gonna be here for a while. I know there are some names on the AEW roster that I might be gunning for, some guys that don’t quite believe in what I believe in, the happiness, the positivity, the boom. So yeah, you never know how deep this thing is gonna go.”
Back in November 2024, Big Justice entered an ongoing match between his father and Q.T. Marshall to tackle Marshall and help his father take the win.
