YouTuber and make-up artist James Charles was one of the guests at the AMAs (American Music Awards). As seen in an X post by “@YSLONIKA,” he posed on the red carpet for photos while wearing a structured black blazer and baggy black shorts.

The post mentioned that there were no camera flashes on Charles. Social media users had different reactions to it. While many inquired if he had anything to do with music, others seemed clueless about who he was. One X user reacted:

“Now who even let him in.”

While many X users referred to Charles’ previous controversy, others opined that they saw cameras flashing.

James Charles paired his outfit with black socks and formal black shoes. He also wore diamond and black stone earrings. For his makeup he used metallic blue eyeshadow as a base and layered it with yellow and red shades, finishing the look with mascara and a soft, smoky effect at the ends.

The make-up artist also shared the BTS of getting ready for the award ceremony. He posted a video on Instagram, explaining:

“My flight was delayed this morning and I literally just landed in Vegas an hour ago. The red carpet literally starts in three hours and I am just getting started on my glam right now. But we are going to make it work.”

James Charles went on:

“I think that will be all right just because the event is literally being held at the hotel I am staying at. So, when I finish, all I have to do is just walk downstairs. But I am still going to glam pretty quickly because I want to do a colorful makeup look.”

James Charles shared that it was his first time attending the AMAs, and he wasn’t sure what to expect but felt excited about the performances lined up for the night.

Talking about his fashion choice, he explained that he wore a full look from Jacquemus, including black loafers with a unique heel. He completed the outfit with an Acne Studios bag.
