Jacqueline's friend and content creator, Gabrielle Reis, spoke to Metrópoles and noted that they had requested the influencer not to go alone. She told the outlet in Portuguese (roughly translated),

"All our close friends and I begged her a lot, because none of us could go. Then all week she kept bothering us, saying, 'Let's go, let's go.' In the end, she went."

She told the outlet that she had been friends with her for many years but had differences in values and lifestyles. She noted,

"We fought about the way she was living her life, living very intensely. I didn't want to go because I have other goals with God."
