American singer and recording artist Jane Morgan Weintraub passed away on August 4 at the age of 101. According to Deadline, Jane passed away due to natural causes in Florida. Recognized for her voice, Jane started taking singing and vocal lessons at the age of just 5.

She aimed to become an opera singer and studied at Juilliard after high school. In 1941, she also served as treasurer of the Kennebunkport Playhouse. Born as Florence Catherine Currier, her name was changed to Jane Morgan Weintraub by Art Mooney, who combined the names of two of his singers.

She was a regular on TV variety shows from the 1950s to the 1970s. Some of her other well-known work includes Broadway shows like Ziegfeld Follies of 1957, Mame, and The Jack Benny Show. One of her all-time most famous songs, “Fascination”, released in 1957, became a fan favorite after it was featured in Love in the Afternoon. It was later used in Diner, Call the Midwife, The Next Karate Kid, and Fallout.

The announcement of her death was made by her family, reported by Deadline, which read:

"Our beloved Jane passed away peacefully in her sleep."

Whom did Jane Morgan Weintraub marry?

Jane Morgan Weintraub was married to Larry Stith from 1959 until their divorce in 1964. She later married talent manager and producer Jerry Weintraub in 1965. Although they separated in the 1980s, the couple remained legally married until Weintraub’s death in 2015. Jane Morgan had four children with her husband, Jerry Weintraub, including a stepson from Weintraub's previous relationship.

Jane Morgan is believed to have made the most appearances by a female singer on the Ed Sullivan Show. Remembering the late singer, the Ed Sullivan Show wrote on X:

"We’re saddened to hear of the passing of Jane Morgan, a beloved guest who brought elegance, warmth, and extraordinary talent to The Ed Sullivan Show stage. We’re grateful for the memories she gave us — and the music that lives on.♥️🎶"

Jane Morgan is also a recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which she received in 2011.
