NBA Ddawg, real name Derian Jeromy Bailey, is known for being NBA YoungBoy's associate and one of his closest friends.Ddawg, as per 19th Judicial District Court Records obtained by The Advocate, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. In September 2022, Ddawg was arrested after a car crash that killed his passenger.As per jail records obtained by multiple outlets, Ddawg faced charges of manslaughter, aggravated flight from an officer, hit and run causing death or serious injury, aggravated criminal damage to property, first-degree vehicular negligence, and convicted felon in illegal possession of a firearm.At the time, NBA Ddawg was hospitalized after the incident, and the police had found a ski mask and weapons in his car.The 2022 arrest happened a few days after DDawg was released on bond from a previous, unrelated incident. In 2012, at 14, Ddawg was arrested for the murder of Derrick Marioneaux of Wyandotte Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The victim's family said that Ddawg had tried to rob them and had escaped. He also revealed that he hired a lawyer and that he was pressured to accept a plea deal."I was threatened with a life sentence if I didn't take the time they offered. Everyone was scared to go up against the police. With me and my wife fighting them ourselves it made the most sense to take the deal than risk life."Dawg also claimed that even if he had gone to trial, the jury would have been fake. Dawg shared a few images, seemingly of court documents with details of the incident. The record noted that the passenger was thrown out of the vehicle after striking the front windshield and that the "front door was unlatched" during the time of the crash.
