Who is Nick Adams? Everything to know about the influencer nominated by Trump as U.S. ambassador to Malaysia

Australia-born Floridian Nick Adams is a self-described "alpha man" and a lifestyle influencer. He also used to be a councillor in Sydney. Donald Trump picked Adams as the new US ambassador to Malaysia, and referred to him as an "incredible patriot", "very successful entrepreneur," and "bestselling author, speaker, and commentator".

While responding to the nomination in a post on X, Adams said,

"It will be my honor to represent the United States of America in Malaysia. To the esteemed members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I look forward to a confirmation process that is at the heart of the Consitution that has given me the freedom to pursue the American Dream. Thank you again to our Greatest President Ever!"

If confirmed, Adams will replace Edgard Kaplan, who was earlier appointed by former President Joe Biden.

Adams has been supporting MAGA through his social media account throughout the years, and also called Trump "the most honest political leader America has had since Abraham Lincoln".

Who is Nick Adams?

Nick Adams is a social media influencer. Earlier, he served as a city council member in Sydney, Australia, and also became Australia's youngest ever deputy mayor at 21, in 2004, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. He moved to the U.S full-time during Trump's first presidential campaign and became a citizen in 2021, as per his X posts.

Adams gained recognition after Trump tweeted his book, Green Card Warrior: My Quest for Legal Immigration in an Illegals' System, and called it a "must read".

He has since written several other books, including Retaking America: Crushing Political Correctness, Class Dismissed: Why College Isn't the Answer, and a book about Joe Biden, titled The Most Dangerous President in History.

He is also the founder of 1A Warriors, which he described as a "non-profit organization dedicated to securing, protecting, and preserving our beautiful and exceptional First Amendment".

Adams has a long list of interests, which he often posts on Instagram and X, including the restaurant chain Hooters, who are known for their all-female waitstaff, "extremely" heavy weights, rare steaks, and the Bible. He also described himself as "pursued by copious amounts of women", "wildly successful," and "extremely charismatic".

On occasions, Nick Adams also treats his followers to a storytime, where he recounts incidents such as how he walked out on a date after she confronted him about being late, rejecting a recycled printer paper from a supplier, and standing up against a hotel that urged guests to reuse their towels. Adams had once asserted that federally protected lands should be razed and turned into golf courses to support his hobby, which is "having a foursome with the boys".

President Trump has also cited Nick Adams' "love of and devotion to our Great Country" as a source of inspiration.
