Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing are going to be first-time parents soon. The pair announced the news in a recent collaborative Instagram post. They shared a video of Sophie’s sonography test while Jamie is heard saying,

“How are you feeling?... Oh my god!... Are you kidding me [reacting to the baby scan].”

Jamie Laing, reacting from behind the camera, also captures Sophie Habboo’s expressions, who is seemingly awestruck. The reality TV couple has been together since 2019 and married two years ago. Like Sophie, Jamie is also a TV personality. Laing’s claim to fame was Made in Chelsea, after which he became a well-known face on British television.

In the later years, the reality star earned prominence as a TV and radio presenter while also having a podcasting career. Jamie Laing co-hosted NewlyWeds with Sophie Habboo. He is also a BBC Radio 1 anchor for Going Home. Besides numerous appearances as a TV presenter, the reality star has also tried his hand at acting.

According to IMDb, Jamie Laing has appeared in Hollyoaks, Drunk History: UK, and Karate with Anne-Marie. Per Grazia Daily, he is an alumnus of Radley College and the University of Leeds and has studied theatre and performance at the latter. Besides his work on TV, Jamie is also the founder of Jampot Productions and Candy Kittens, according to Curtis Brown.

For those unaware, Jampot Productions is a company focused on podcast production, while Candy Kittens is a confectionery brand. Apart from his business investments, Jamie Laing is also the great-great-grandson of Alexander Grant, the inventor of the McVitie’s Digestive biscuit.

Per the Daily Express, the Oxford native has an estimated net worth between £2 million and £7.2 million, while Celebrity Net Worth estimates it at around $10 million.

Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo tied the knot in 2023

The Made in Chelsea alums met during their time on the E4 reality show. According to The Sun, Jamie developed feelings for Sophie during a trip to South Africa towards the end of the MIC Series 17. The pair started dating in 2019. The pair got engaged in 2021 and announced the same with an Instagram post in December. Jamie shared a video and some pictures while writing,

“I couldn’t think of anything better than spending the rest of my life with you @habboosophie 💍❤️🥺”

The couple launched their podcast series, NewlyWeds, in 2022 and married a year later on April 14 at the Chelsea Registry Office. They had a second wedding weeks later in Marbella, Spain. In October 2023, Jamie Laing spoke to The Standard about sharing a big family with Sophie Habboo. He said,

“It is up to Soph, whatever she wants to do. I am super keen, 100 per cent without a doubt. It will happen at some point, it is just a case of when. I would love to go big or go home. I want loads. I wouldn’t mind three or four, that would be awesome. We will see how it all pans out.”

As mentioned, the couple eventually announced that they are expecting in June via Instagram. The first-time parents are also working together on the BBC Radio 1 show Going Home.
