The Australian wellness community mourned the loss of Stacey Hatfield, a beloved influencer who built her reputation on living clean and cooking simply. Stacey Hatfield died shortly after birthing her baby boy. Her husband, Nathan Warnecke, confirmed the same on October 19. Stacey Hatfield's journey began in 2019, when she founded Natural Spoonfuls, a space devoted to toxin-free food and mindful living. Her dedication eventually led her to develop Waffl, a content creation company focused on social storytelling and lifestyle branding.
Her passing left a deep void not just in her family’s life but in the online community that had followed her work for years. Close friend Jon Downie shared the heartbreaking news on the Natural Spoonfuls page, writing that he had organized a GoFundMe campaign “to honor my beautiful friend Stacey and support her family in the way she always supported those she loved.”
“Seeing Nathan step into fatherhood and witnessing firsthand the bond he shares with Axel is pure magic, Stacey is there with them—in every cuddle, every smile, every quiet moment of love,” Downie wrote.
On the campaign page, Downie explained that the funds would go toward funeral and childcare expenses as well as financial support while Nathan takes time away from work.
“Nathan is not one to ask for help, however we know he will need assistance, with love and support we know he will succeed and be an amazing father to Axel,” he shared.
Australian wellness influencer Stacey Hatfield remembered after passing following birth of baby boy:
On the Natural Spoonfuls Instagram page, Nathan Warnecke shared the heartbreaking news of his wife’s passing. “Its with heavy heart that i share with you the unexpected passing of my beautiful wife, soul mate and best friend, Stacey Warnecke (Hatfield),” he began, confirming that she had died after giving birth to their son, Axel. Nathan explained that Stacey Hatfield “passed on the 29th September 2025 after successfully giving birth to our firstborn son, Axel, at home,” but that tragedy struck soon after.
“Tragically, shortly after, an unforeseen and extremely rare complication arose and she passed after being transferred to hospital. Hospital staff were amazing and did the utmost to help, but ultimately nothing could be done despite their best efforts,” he shared.
The post reflected deep love and loss as Nathan remembered their nine years together.
“She was the light of my life and the reason i got up in the morning,” he wrote, calling her “my lighthouse in the storm” and adding that “the world is less bright without her in it.”
“As her husband, i couldn't ask for a better partner, she was the most beautiful, loving, caring, hardworking, disciplined, intelligent and trustworthy human being i've ever known,” he continued.
Nathan also reflected on the life they built together and the joy Stacey Hatfield found in motherhood.
“She made me the man i am today and everything i have in life is all thanks to her. The happiest day of my life was getting to marry her, my best friend, on a white sand beach in the Maldives.”
He ended the tribute by honoring her lifelong dream.
“It was her lifes biggest dream to be a mum. She did it, on her terms, exactly the way she always dreamed of doing it. She loved being pregnant and over the last 9 months told our son she loved him everyday. She held Axel when he was born, nursed him, saw that he was a boy and loved him. She loved him so much and still, continues to love him,” he wrote.
As friends, followers, and strangers alike continue to rally around Nathan and baby Axel, Stacey Hatfield's legacy as a devoted partner new mother and advocate for natural living remains deeply felt. Her warmth and quiet optimism touched countless lives both online and off a reminder that behind every post and photograph is a real person with a story that continues in the hearts of those who loved her.
