The National Foundation for Popular Culture paid tribute to Rosita Velázquez, who has left her fans and loved ones in mourning. While the singer and comedian expressed her fears at a young age of 20, she went on to become one of the biggest names in the Puerto Rican television industry.

According to a news outlet, Primera Hora, her first role in Mi hippie me encanta subsequently opened doors to other roles, including Channel 7's How to Be Happy in Marriage. From working on a game show, Super Saturdays, to hosting music programs, including R con R, Rosita left no leaf unturned. Actor and comedian Víctor Alicea spoke to El Nuevo Día and remembered his friend. He said,

He added,

"I had planned to dedicate it to her. I know Rosita as a woman who was very ahead of her time in terms of what is known in the LGBT community."

As confirmed by the Spanish news outlets, Rosita Velázquez would have turned 75 on July 29, 2025. Rosita is remembered for her charismatic presence on the screen.
