Chris "Fronz" Fronzak, frontman of metal band Attila, has followed through on a public challenge and donated $5,000 to MrBeast's TeamWater campaign.

For those unaware, Attila's Fronzak publicly questioned whether the wells MrBeast helped build in Africa in 2023 were still working. MrBeast responded with audits and video proof showing the wells in operation. Fronzak had offered to donate $5,000 if the wells were proven functional.

After MrBeast posted the proof, Fronzak paid up and posted an acknowledgement on X (formerly Twitter):

"This is amazing, thank you for providing clarity. I am a man of my word, so as I promised, here is proof of my $5,000 donation! I genuinely hope you hit your goal and everything succeeds smoothly. #TeamWater."

Who is Attila's Chris Fronzak?

Chris Fronzak is best known as the vocalist for Attila. The band has been in the headlines for tour troubles recently. They cancelled a European run at short notice after disputes with a third-party organising company. Hence, Attila's name was already in the news when Fronzak publicly questioned MrBeast's work.

On the other hand, MrBeast's real name is Jimmy Donaldson. He is the creator and philanthropist behind campaigns like TeamTrees and TeamSeas. His new project is TeamWater. It is run in collaboration with WaterAid and other partners. The campaign aims to raise roughly $40 million to provide long-term clean-water access to two million people.

On August 4, Attila's Fronzak posted on X that the 100 wells MrBeast said he had built in 2023 had "failed 1 year later due to lack of maintenance." That was a notable claim. MrBeast replied that the allegation was false and said the wells had been audited and found to be working.

Fronzak then stated:

"Send me the audit that shows that ALL 100 wells are still working today and I will send $5,000 to your new water project."

MrBeast responded by sharing video proof and audit documentation showing visits to each well. Once the video and audits were public, Fronzak posted the donation confirmation and thanked MrBeast for the clarity. The donation graphic from TeamWater, showing the $5,000 payment, was attached to his post.

Notably, earlier in 2023, MrBeast's project reportedly installed 100 wells across multiple African countries, including Cameroon, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
