Sean Diddy Combs' release date has been pushed back nearly a month after he violated prison rules. Combs, in July, was convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution and was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October. His release date was set for May 8, 2028. However, his release date has now been pushed back to June 4, 2028, as per Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate records viewed by People on November 12.

Fellow rapper and artist 50 Cent, in a now-deleted Instagram post, took a shot at the rapper. 50 Cent posted a screenshot of a Page Six post about the rapper and in the caption wrote,

"Da** Diddy gotta chill out so he can come home. I want to throw him a party LOL @50centaction."

More about Sean Diddy Combs' alleged prison rule breaks

Although the reason behind the change was not disclosed, it is public information that inmates' release dates depend on their good behavior. Days after Combs began serving his sentence at Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, Combs was allegedly caught drinking homemade alcohol, as per TMZ's report on November 7.

The drink was made with a mix of Fanta soda, sugar, and apples and left to ferment for two weeks. A spokesperson, while speaking of Diddy's alleged rule-breaking in a conversation with People on November 9, said,

"There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs. He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously. This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors, will surface throughout his time here."

A spokesperson for Fort Dix, as per USA Today, said,

"We have no knowledge of this information. Further, we would not be able to disclose any information pertaining to internal inmate matters. It would not be public information."

CBS News, on November 10, citing prison documents, reported that Combs violated another rule when he made a three-way call from prison. The Bureau of Prisons does not permit inmates to participate in a conference call. However, his spokesperson argued that Diddy's phone call was initiated by an attorney and based on 'attorney-client privilege."

Combs was arrested in September 2024 and was held at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center before he was transferred to Fort Dix. Combs was also charged and acquitted of s*x trafficking and racketeering. Combs had earlier denied all allegations of se*ual misconduct and is still facing more than 70 civil lawsuits across the country.
