TikToker Hannah Brown reportedly came under fire after attending Charlie Kirk's memorial on September 21. Hannah, who became popular for her waitress skits on TikTok, notably lost approximately "140k followers in a day" after a single picture of her attending the memorial went viral. X user Adam Ellis (@adamtotscomix) was the first to post about this, attaching screenshots of the content creator's TikTok showing that Hannah's following dropped from 985k at some point to 852k.
Users appeared to be critical of the TikToker for attending the memorial, with some noting that she had close to a million followers on the social media platform. Netizens took to Adam's post and claimed that she didn't attend a "memorial" but a "MAGA rally" and it was an attempt to make a political statement. Following the massive backlash, Hannah reportedly took to her TikTok to explain the situation.

Netizens were reportedly left divided in their support towards TikToker Hannah Brown, who was seen at Charlie Kirk's memorial. X user, Chris Evans (@notcapnaamerica), shared a clip of the content creator addressing the situation. She noted that she would be speaking about this situation only once and clarified that she is not "MAGA." She acknowledged,
"I went to a memorial for Charlie Kirk. A man who was brutally assassinated in front of thousands of people. A man who has a wife and children who will never get to see him again. And despite our differing beliefs, a man who did not deserve to die.”
Hannah Brown explained that she was very "disturbed" by the news, but moreover by some people's joyful reaction to Kirk's passing. She noted that even if she disagrees with someone, it doesn't mean that she wants them to be "shot and k**ed." She added,
"If you disagree with that, we have nothing in common."
She went on to speak to her followers, who expressed criticism towards her and said,
"Whether or not you agree with his political beliefs is so irrelevant. Because truly, if you are against gun violence… you cannot celebrate when someone you don’t like gets shot. You are a hypocrite.”
Hannah Brown has opened up after she lost more than 100k followers on her TikTok channel. The content creator clarified that it was not a political statement, and irrespective of her differences in beliefs with right-wing spokesperson Charlie Kirk, she described her presence as "basic human compassion." She ended the clip by expressing gratitude towards followers who have supported her.
