Kai Cenat, in a recent livestream with Adin Ross, revealed that he refused Kick's $140,000,000 offer alongside iShowSpeed and Ross to join the streaming platform since he didn't like to sign anything that has "control over my streaming time, my community."

Cenat mentioned that he'd rather be on Twitch,

"I don't like to sign anything that has control over my streaming time, my community. I have turned down millions, to be on Twitch gang. Anything that affects my community, and my streaming time, towards, hey, we're gonna, you have to stream for these many hours, like I know the feeling bro. And it's okay, it should be a norm for streamers to be able to talk to their mama and s**t."

He went on to add,

"Gang, I am far from what n***as think I am. I am strong bro. I got financially stable back in 2022 and I didn't care for no more bread. I didn't care for s**t. You feel me."

This isn't the first time Cenat has opened up about turning down the Kick deal. In January 2025, Kai Cenat, during an appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, explained his reasons for turning down the deal.

"Sometimes you gotta just say no": Kai Cenat about turning down Kick deal

In January 2025, during an episode of the podcast Club Shay Shay, host Shannon Sharpe asked Cenat,

"You turned down $60 million to join Kick. Why did you do that?"

To which Kai Cenat responded, saying,

"It wasn't right. I couldn't join Kick at the time because I realized that not all money is good money. Some money you could take and deals you could sign that would jeopardize everything that you built up."

He then went on to explain that he wanted to look at the bigger picture when it comes to his career and reputation, instead of just focusing on the money.

"Sometimes you gotta just say no. This is cool, it's generational, but I'm more like, what am I stamping on the world? What am I going to be known for? If it don't make sense, I'm not doing it. I had such a great community where I'm at now, why would I leave it?"

Kai Cenat began streaming on Twitch in February 2021. He started his career on YouTube before transitioning to Twitch. Cenat became the first Twitch streamer to surpass 500,000 subscribers during his "Mafiathon 2" subathon in November 2024.
