Elon Musk has been pushing his company's AI model Grok for years. For the past few months, the xAI founder has been hyping the video generation and other capabilities of Grok. However, the AI platform faced severe criticism for some unfiltered responses and generated content. Earlier in July, the billionaire announced that his company would develop a kid-friendly AI app and named it "Baby Grok."

Elon Musk has now shared an update about the new Kids-mode in the existing Grok app. On October 25, an X user, @cb_doge, shared a post showing the new mode with the tutorial to turn it on. Musk reshared the post and confirmed the new update. Reposting the tutorial, Musk wrote,

"Grok now includes a kids mode."

Netizens swarmed on the post and shared their thoughts on the new update in Musk's AI app. A netizen seemed concerned and commented,

"Why would kids need AI? Where are their parents?"

Netizens divided over Elon Musk’s announcement of "Kids Mode" on the Grok app

Another X user shared concern at the idea of AI reaching in the hands of kids.

"Call me crazy, but I don’t think children should be accessing AI."

An online user playfully demanded a "politician mode" in which Grok would avoid every question.

"So basically Grok without the chaos filter turned off next update better include a “politician mode” where it just avoids every question."

Whereas another internet user seemed excited with the announcement and added that an AI tool would help children articulate themselves better.

"Something I would love to see is a kid version of Ai. A learning tool...Could you imagine the things a child could create if they knew how to by just entering prompts! Kids are typically not developed enough to articulate their thoughts and Ai would be an awesome tool to help in their development."

A netizen thanked Elon Musk for making Grok kid-friendly.

"Thank you for making this kid-friendly, Elon. Our children deserve tech that inspires curiosity… not confusion. This is how we protect the next generation of American thinkers."

An X user stated that this would be helpful in dealing with the curiosity of her son.

"This is great. When my son is watching nature shows he always has a million questions about where the animals lives, lifespan etc and we look it up. This will be helpful."

Another netizen expressed an interest in a Grok version that would help in grocery shopping by offering information about products just by scanning the UPC code.

"I would love to have a Grok that I can bring to the grocery store and scan the label UPC code and it tells me all the associated companies and nutrition values and whatever else I need to know, including the company who gets most of my money. That would be awesome!"

Hours later, announcing the Kids mode, Elon Musk shared another tweet and stated that Grok's new "kids mode" works in a way that companies find suitable for their work.

"A friend of mine just pointed out that Grok “kids mode” has exactly the same settings as what companies demand for “enterprise mode” 😂... We have indeed infantilized businesses in modern society," Elon Musk humorously wrote,

Those who want to experience the new kids mode will find it in the settings of Grok mode. Users can set up a PIN to prevent turning it off without permission.
