Boy group RIIZE has announced a world tour, RIIZING LOUD for 2025-26, mainly to support the release of its first-ever album. This past week, however, one of those stops for the North America leg of the world tour was cancelled, which drew quite a bit of attention and interest.

The cancelled date was a stop for the North America leg of the tour. On October 17, 2025, almost a month from the November 4 scheduled date at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia, that date was cancelled and ticket-holders were notified to a processing of ticket refunds to follow automatically. The tour still has other scheduled shows for displays of the group throughout Asia and North America.

What do the official statements and facts say about RIIZE's show cancellation?

There is only limited official information about the RIIZE's show cancellation. According to articles and event pages, one stop at Gas South Arena was cancelled. The ticketing platform confirmed to fans that refunds would be issued. The tour’s official site notes that

"the artist, show and venue reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason."

However, RIIZE's, SM Entertainment has not issued a detailed publicly available explanation for why the stop was cancelled.

From a purely factual perspective: yes, a date was cancelled; yes, refunds are being processed; no official full explanation has yet been issued. These facts are clear. What remains less clear is the full reasoning behind the decision.

Suggested reasons behind the cancellation of RIIZE's show

While the official line is minimal, multiple sources suggest reasons why this stop was cancelled by RIIZE. These reasons are based on industry commentary, fan reports, and media analysis.

1. Low ticket sales and venue scale

Perhaps the best evidence was that ticket sales were below expectations for the Georgia date. According to an article from Koreaboo, Duluth's venue was about 13,000 capacity venues, and the cancellation was due to "shockingly low sales."

It was suggested that the venue size and market were probably too big for a relatively new K-pop group like RIIZE in the US, especially with a fan base that has not yet been fully built. If this is accurate, it means the business case for that date may not have added up from the organisers’ perspective.

2. Strategic and logistical concerns

Another suggested reason is that logistics, scheduling, and cost may have played a part. The tour’s North America leg features several large venues and major cities. If one stop is underperforming or if cost/risk factors (travel, promotion, venue rental) are large, the agency might opt to cancel rather than run at a loss. While not officially confirmed, some media pieces imply such strategic calculations.

In addition, since this group is still fairly new (debuting in 2023), their international footprint may not yet be as strong as longer-running acts. That may affect ticketing and planning.

3. Communication and fan reaction

A third reason that emerges is the effect of how the cancellation was handled. Fans criticised the lack of clear communication from the agency, which may highlight internal challenges. While this is not a root reason for the cancellation itself, it affects how the cancellation is perceived and may influence future scheduling decisions.

For example, if fan trust is affected, ticket sales may drop for remaining shows, this becomes a cyclical risk.

While the cancellation of the Duluth stop of RIIZE’s RIIZING LOUD tour is officially confirmed, the full reasoning has not been made public. Based on available evidence and commentary, the most credible factors include low ticket sales, ambitious venue size for the group’s current market level, and potentially strategic/logistical decisions.
