South Korean police have confirmed the arrest of a woman after she was caught attempting to trespass at BTS member Jungkook's home in Seoul. The incident reportedly took place late on August 30, 2025.

The suspect entered the underground parking area of Jungkook's home in the Yongsan district. According to authorities, she followed another vehicle through the parking gate before being spotted on security cameras. Eventually, police were notified, and she was taken into custody on suspicion of unlawful entry.

The Yongsan Police Station said the woman was arrested at the scene and questioned. She is officially identified only by her surname, "A." According to Maeil Business Newspaper, at the time of her arrest, she gave incoherent statements and claimed she had "entered a friend's house." Officials have launched an investigation to determine her motive.

Notably, this is the second such security breach at Jungkook's residence in recent months. In June 2025, a Chinese woman also attempted to gain access to the property on the day Jungkook completed his mandatory military service. That case drew significant concern. The intruder was reportedly caught repeatedly pressing the door lock keypad. She was later handed over to prosecutors. That woman was reported to have traveled to South Korea specifically to meet Jungkook.

Details on the latest trespassing incident at BTS' Jungkook's residence

According to multiple local outlets, the incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday. Surveillance cameras in the singer's underground parking lot picked up the woman following a vehicle inside. Security personnel noticed her suspicious movements and alerted law enforcement.

Police confirmed that the suspect was a South Korean national in her 40s. She did not appear armed or violent. However, her unauthorized entry was considered a serious breach. Under South Korean law, unlawful entry into a private residence can carry prison time of up to three years or fines of up to 30 million won, which is $21,000.

Upon confrontation, the woman gave relatively confusing statements to the police. She claimed she had mistaken the residence for a friend's house. Investigators are currently examining whether her actions were linked to attempts to approach the BTS star directly.

Fans express concern

The latest arrest has created concerns among fans. Some of them are taking to social media to express it:

"Honestly, this is terrifying. Fans can be passionate, but breaking into someone's home crosses a serious line. He and his team deserve privacy and safety, and situations like this are a reminder that celebrity obsession can have dangerous consequences. Hope the authorities handle it properly and that he is okay," penned a netizen.
"This is seriously very alarming. That is twice in the span of 3 month???" questioned another.
"Stop doing this kind of weird things… He should be respected. Person who entered should get punished so no one do again this kind of things..," wrote a third.

Notably, Jungkook recently shared glimpses of his home during a Weverse livestream earlier in the week. During the livestream, he showed fans his living room, staircase, and home gym. Some fans claim that it provided unnecessary insight into his personal space.
