MrBeast is rallying for a showdown between the basketball heavyweights Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

During a recent stream with Adin Ross, the YouTube titan pitched the prospect of roping the two NBA legends into a 1v1 to decide who is the GOAT. He said during the stream,

“One of my most viewed videos last year was when I had Cristiano Ronaldo play a random fan one-on-one for a million dollars. So I was randomly thinking the other day, imagine getting LeBron and Michael Jordan to go 1v1, but we handicap LeBron in some way.” Ross dubbed it “the craziest video ever," but MrBeast had his doubts it would happen: “They’d never do it,” he said, but "You know how f******* crazy that would be?”

MrBeast was suggesting that they "handicap" LeBron due to his age. The latter is 40 years old, while Michael Jordan is 62. His suggestion was an attempt at leveling the playing field. However, as of this writing, there is no official confirmation that such a game is in the works, as it seems to only be an idea the YouTuber floated recently.

Here's what LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and MrBeast are now doing in their careers:

As reported by The Sports Rush, the last time Michael Jordan competed was over a decade ago, when he challenged the members of a team he owned, the Charlotte Bobcats, to a string of games. He came out on top at the time and was in his late 40s/early 50s.

As for James, he reportedly averaged 24.4 points per game in the previous season, along with 8.2 assists per game. He was also recently ranked 13th in scoring and 6th in MVP voting.

MrBeast has been making strides on the video platform lately. He recently launched an initiative that aims to increase access to water for up to 2 million people globally for the next two decades.

Dubbed Techwater, the initiative is being helmed by MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, and Mark Rober, a fellow YouTuber cum engineer. Their goal is to raise $40 million by the end of this month. It is already being backed by some industry heavyweights.

The Stokes Twins, Ben Azelart, and others are reportedly working on this project, and it follows suit in Donaldson's previous initiatives like #TeamTrees and #TeamSees.
