Rumors about Taylor Swift making a directorial debut at the Vancouver International Film Festival have reportedly been debunked. According to E! News, VIFF's social media post featuring a bright orange lock and a caption including the phrase "Ready for it?", a phrase synonymous with Swift's hit track, led to a series of speculations.
In a now-edited post on their Instagram, the socials team has cleared the air on August 19. They noted,
"There will be no Taylor Swift documentary debuting at VIFF. Earlier today we saw the viral tiktok video with the prediction and were honoured to even be in the easter egg discussion."
Taking a spin on a TS song, they added,
"However, we're so excited to show you what's coming to #VIFF2025. Hope there's no "Bad Blood." The full lineup will be revealed "August" 27."

Swifties couldn't help but speculate if Swift would be making her debut at the VIFF. However, her social media team quickly recognised the growing rumour on TikTok and put an end to it, while avoiding any "Bad Blood." While fans hope for one, no public news about Taylor's directorial project has been confirmed.
In related news, Swifties also hoped that Swift would make a special appearance as the Bear on Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore 2. On her appearance on the New Heights podcast with her partner, Travis Kelce, Taylor confirmed that she is not and how the rumour has become part of Travis and her ongoing rumour banter. However, she expressed delight at the speculated role. She said,
