On September 6, BTS' Taehyung came live on Weverse to mark his late pet Yeontan’s birthday. The BTS idol lost his pet last year. V stated that he went on Weverse on Yeontan's birthday, and the ARMYs requested him to come on live and sing for them. Exactly five minutes later, Taehyung of BTS appeared live and sang for the ARMYs.
Fans turned emotional when the idol appeared sad during the livestream, missing Yeontan. As a result, his fans swamped the internet with their love for Yeontan (Tannie) and V. To express this, one user on X commented:

BTS' Taehyung shared the news of Yeontan’s demise in December last year
The public learned of Yeontan's passing on December 2, 2024, when Taehyung honored his dog on Instagram with a number of stories and pictures. In addition, he shared a statement about his pet.
“The reason I decided to post this message today is because, recently, Yeontan (my dog) embarked on a long journey to the stars. I thought a lot about how to share this news with you, but I felt that it was right to let ARMYs, who have sent so much love to Yeontan, know, so I’m sharing this news now. I believe Yeontan would feel happy if ARMYs also remember him fondly as he sets off on this journey.” BTS’ Taehyung wrote.
Taehyung's black-and-tan Pomeranian was first shown to ARMYs on December 4, 2017, when Jin's birthday was broadcast. Since then, his pet has appeared in numerous media, such as live broadcasts and photo sessions. Tannie also featured on the cover of V’s solo album Layover.
