Nicki Minaj took to X on October 14 to throw shade at Kamala Harris while thanking POTUS Trump. In her tweet, Minaj said,
"Flattering photos are allowed to be posted of me again. Thanks, POTUS. Epiphany had politicians thinking she would lead them to a victory. Had live nation thinking she knew her s**t. How much money did VP Harris have stacked up for her campaign again? Yikes.
Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez's daughter, Epiphany, worked as the director of brand marketing at Roc Nation and was the person behind the Kamala Harris campaign.
According to an article published by The New York Times in November 2024, Kamala Harris spent over $1.5 billion on her presidential campaign. Harris spent a huge chunk of that money in the final weeks of the 2024 White House race on advertising, travel, canvassing, and rallies with celebrities such as Ricky Martin, Lady Gaga, and Oprah Winfrey.
According to the Democratic nominee's financial report, which was filed with the Federal Election Commission in December, Harris raised and spent roughly twice as much as Donald Trump.
Nicki Minaj throws shade at Kamala Harris
It is unclear what prompted Nicki Minaj to diss Kamala Harris; the singer has been feuding with the company behind organizing the Harris campaign for years. Minaj has been feuding with Roc Nation and its founder, Jay-Z, after he sold a major stake in TIDAL, an online streaming platform where several artists, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and others, were given small equity stakes in exchange for joining the launch.
Nicki claimed that when the stake was sold, she was only offered $1 million for her share and argued that she was entitled to more. Nicki also claimed that Roc Nation was using Megan thee Stallion to replace her in the female rap industry.
Nicki also attacked the company's CEO, Desiree Perez, who was once involved in a conspiracy to distribute narcotics and allegedly had a criminal past, to question Roc Nation's credibility. She began reposting news around Perez's daughter Demoree's lawsuit, where she accused her mother of abuse and manipulation.
Over the years, Minaj has frequently taken to social media to throw shade at Roc Nation, Jay-Z, and Desiree Perez. Most recently, in August 2025, Nicki got into a feud with footballer Dez Bryant, who is a client of Roc Nation Sports.
