“Your pizza is not good”: Dave Portnoy randomly diss David Dobrik’s restaurant while rating car YouTuber Stradman’s pizza store

Dave Portnoy, who created Barstool Sports and is famous for his “One Bite” pizza reviews, stopped by two pizza places run by well-known YouTubers. His opinions surprised many. Portnoy, whose reviews play a big role in bringing attention to pizza spots across the country, visited Strad Pizza in Scottsdale, Arizona. This spot is owned by TheStradman, a creator known for car content. He also talked about David Dobrik’s pizza business, Doughbriks, which he had already reviewed before.

Portnoy was trusted for his honest reviews of plain cheese pizza and gave different feedback on spots run by YouTubers. While reviewing Strad Pizza, he criticized Dobrik’s place by labeling it “one of the worst pizzas” he’d ever eaten. He didn’t hold back and flat-out declared,

“Your pizza is not good,” making it clear he had no plans to revisit that slice.

Stradman’s pizza turned out to leave a much better impression with Portnoy. Portnoy seemed surprised at first learning that a car YouTuber owned the pizza place. But he appreciated the quality. “This? Pretty good,” he said as he sampled the pizza, sharing thoughts about its texture and taste. He gave it a score of 7.7 to 7.8, which is a strong rating on the tough “One Bite” scale.

One of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had, no offence, David Dobrik, your pizza is not good.”

Stradman reacted well to the review and thanked Dave Portnoy on Instagram not long after the video went live. The review gave a boost to his restaurant's visibility and highlighted the reach of Portnoy’s platform.

The mixed reviews from the two YouTubers highlight how uncertain the food industry is, even to online stars with millions of fans. Star power might draw attention in the beginning, but Dave Portnoy's remarks point out that good quality matters more than a famous name, especially with pizza.
