Police believe Poorstacy died by suicide, family alleges possible foul play

Carlito Junior Milfort, famously known as Poorstacy, passed away on November 29 at the age of twenty-six. The hit songs of the Florida musician include Don't Look At Me, Hills Have Eyes, and Make Up. The news was first made official by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner and was reported by TMZ.

The cause of his death has been ruled as suicide, TMZ reported. However, another source told TMZ that Poorstacy's family believes there were suspicious circumstances and that it wasn't suicide.

Sources told the outlet that he first shot himself but lived through the injury and was hospitalized. He passed away on December 1 after doctors took him off life support. As of now, police have not officially shared what led to his death.

Poorstacy's family has launched GoFundMe

After the sudden death of Poorstacy, his family has launched a GoFundMe organized by Gabriela Sampaio. It reads:

"It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share the passing of Carlito Milfort Jr. — “Poor Stacy” to so many who loved him, listened to him, and grew with him through his music and his presence. To us, he wasn’t just an artist. He was a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a light in our family."

It continues:

"As we face this devastating loss, we are asking for support with medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and financial help for his child, who now has to grow up holding his memory instead of his hand. This was sudden, it was painful, and it has left us with emotional and financial weight that we are struggling to carry."

So far, the fundraiser has raised nearly $5,000, with a goal of $35,000, showing the support his fans have for him.

TMZ reports that the musician spent ten days in Boca Raton with a woman and a young child, thought to be his son and the child's mother.

In his last Instagram post, uploaded in August, a young baby was seen sitting next to him. The description of his fundraiser also mentions that he was a father. However, the identities of the woman and the child have not been revealed.
