Selena Gomez spotted in Cabo with friends, fuels bachelorette party rumors

The Good for You singer, Selena Gomez, was spotted with her friends on a yacht in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Sunday, August 24, 2025. According to the Daily Mail, Selena and her friends were spotted dancing, sipping drinks, and taking selfies on the yacht.

Since Selena was spotted with just her friends in Cabo, a well-known bachelorette spot for brides and grooms to be, rumors suggest this could be the Only Murders in the Building star's bachelorette party. However, this is not confirmed by the singer or her team.

Gomez is currently engaged to music producer Benny Blanco. The couple has been engaged since December 2024, and fans believe that they will tie the knot soon, although there is no official announcement.

Gomez was recently spotted in a black swimsuit with some of her close friends, including Raquelle Stevens, Courtney Lopez, and her cousin, Priscilla Marie, among others, in Cabo.

Gomez and Benny began dating back in 2023, after working together on music projects. In March 2025, they released a joint album, I Said I Love You First. Since they began dating, the relationship has been very much in the public eye. Gomez shared the news of her engagement on social media. She captioned the post as:

“forever begins now..”

Gomez shared three Instagram stories featuring Benny's pictures this week, captioning one with “My hubby 💕😍” and another with “my world”. Last month, on a podcast episode with Jake Shane, Benny spoke about how the wedding preparations were on hold, as he and Selena were busy working. In the episode, he said:

''That’s why we both need to chill. We’ve both been working so much. We got engaged, and then we were filming music videos for our album [I Said I Love You First]...Then it’s holidays. Then right after the holidays, we had to start all the promo for our stuff, do that.''

He then said that Gomez was busy promoting the series Only Murders in the Building, and that he was working on a book. He also mentioned that their tight schedule had prevented them from planning anything.

A couple of weeks back, Selena also appeared on Jake Shane's podcast. She confirmed that the tight schedules were the reason they hadn't planned the wedding yet. She added:

''You know, I just have never really felt so sure about something. And I also don’t want to jinx it by saying that.”

Because Gomez was recently spotted in Cabo, fans are convinced that the big day is right around the corner. It is, however, not confirmed by Gomez, Benny, or sources close to them.
