Simon Lian and Esther Liu announce pregnancy and marriage

Simon Lian and Esther Liu officially announced their pregnancy and their marriage on June 9. The announcement post was uploaded on their individual Instagram accounts. Esther wrote,

"Thank you Lian Xiang, thank you to our children, Thank you the world for giving me the ordinary and extraordinary. Please bless us with a guardian heart. Thank you"

Simon also admired Esther in his post by sharing,

"Thank you for catching my super person with laughter that you can hear from 1km away, and I believe our baby will be like you ~ Laughing will make the world a better place (and love food) Next I will use all my love, love you, love our baby, we will be very happy and truly share this joy with everyone! Thank you everyone ❤ Lian Chenxiang"

The post featured Simon in a beige-toned shirt and pants, paired with a white shirt. Esther wore a white strapless gown that had a light blue printed design on it. The photos were loved by fans, who showed admiration for the couple. In the photos, both look at each other while Esther Liu holds a bouquet of flowers.

Additionally, the photo shoot also captured the couple sharing light moments, from playing a game of chess to dancing together and laughing joyfully.

Esther Liu shares her emotions surrounding the pregnancy

As per the couple's statement, they have decided to skip the wedding celebrations as of now, as the baby is reportedly due to be born by the year's end. Instead, they want to focus on their kid's health.

According to ETTV, Esther felt nervous and overwhelmed when she first found out she was pregnant.

As of now, Esther Liu is learning about maternity care centers to get good help and rest after the baby is born. In a statement, she said,

"If the confinement is done well, the mother will not age."

As for Simon, who was planning to have a kid after a couple of years, he shared his emotion by adding that he was,

"shocked multiplied by N"

While fans are excitedly waiting for the baby, the couple has no plans to reveal the baby's gender with a party. The reason behind their decision is that they want the baby to grow up freely, without being limited by ideas about gender.

Simon Lian is 33 years old, and Esther Liu is 36 as of 2025. The two are also reported to star together in the upcoming drama The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
