In celebration of Commonwealth Day, King Charles III decided to transcend the monarchy and become your not-so-regular radio DJ. The King of England decided to join Apple Music on a show titled The King's Music Room, where he unveiled a selection of his favorite songs and talked about each of them.
King Charles III's playlist has seventeen songs, and some might find the collection eccentric as it spans a wide range of genres, from reggae and pop to Afrobeat and Soul. Most featured artists "originated from across the Commonwealth family and other parts of the world."
Some artists featured on his playlist include Bob Marley, Davido, Diana Ross, Raye, and Beyoncé. The cowboy Carter crooner got well-deserved praise from the King. Rounding up his playlist, King Charles III talked about Beyoncé's Crazy in Love.
"I'll leave you, if I may, with two final songs," King Charles said in the broadcast after describing fifteen tracks from Commonwealth artists. "First from a performer so exceptional that I just could not resist including her music. She performed this song at the then Prince's Trust Fashion Rocks concert in the Royal Albert Hall in 2003…the incomparable Beyoncé, with the song Crazy In Love," he added.
He also congratulated her on her Grammy win of Album of the Year.

King Charles III hosted the podcast in his office at Buckingham Palace.
"I wanted to share with you songs which have brought me joy. They evoke many different styles and many different cultures. But all of them, like the family of Commonwealth nations, in their many different ways, share the same love of life in all its richness and diversity," the King tells Apple Music.
"I can only hope you have enjoyed these few songs I have had time to share with you. Perhaps you have heard some of your own favorite pieces—and perhaps you may have discovered something new," His Majesty added.
