In a recent interview, Kevin Durant had much to say about popular Twitch streamer IShowSpeed. The professional basketball player who has linked up with Speed on several occasions described the streamer as an athlete.He said:“Speed is just an athlete, man, he can do it all, and um, I built a solid relationship with him dating back to… I wanna say two years ago? We did a podcast together. Did a commercial together, so this is our third time linking up.”He praised Speed’s dedication to content creation and said he has immense respect for him, noting that the twenty-year-old streamer has already done a lot for the culture.“Streamers get to create content every day, man, that's a tough, tough job to do. I've really got respect for what Speed brings to the culture. His appearance on the show covered several highlights, one of which was during a three-point shoot-out. IShowSpeed, stunned by Durant’s flawless play, blurted out a question:“How is he not missing?”To which Kevin replied:“They been asking that for 20 years, brotha.”Another highlight happened during a two-versus-two pickup game where Kevin walked off the court midgame due to his and Speed’s embarrassing loss.Speed and Kevin teamed up against Zuby Ejiofor and Bryce Hopkins, two D1 college players.“They some big ass kids. I'm 5'10. They're 6'8, 6'7. They're too damn big!” Speed commented.Despite the efforts of the professional athlete and streamer, their competitors earned an overwhelming victory.“Me and KD didn't have no chemistry. I give him the ball, he's missing,” Speed said.Durant, on the other hand, commented that the streamer needed "a lot of work.”He added:“Love his athleticism and agility, but his ball skills… need a lot of work.”Another highlight of IShowSpeed and Kevin Durant’s team-up was when Speed broke the record of the fastest NBA 3/4 sprint.
