Tony Buzbee, Diddy's accuser's attorney, recently shared an Instagram post promoting his drink, The Patriot. In the caption, he mentioned that he doesn’t use alcohol or substances and explained the reasons why his drink stands out compared to other THC beverages currently on the market.

The original caption read:

"I understand the Lt. Governor’s concern with regard to synthetic and dangerous items that can be purchased at smoke shops and gas stations. Many of these items come from China or fly by night producers."

He continued:

"Our product is different; it’s tested, sourced and professional. It can be found in grocery stores, Spec’s and Total Wine. It was made for veterans by a veteran—me."

The Houston-based lawyer said The Patriot is for people who are staying away from alcohol. He claimed the drink doesn’t lead to a hangover and is made with natural ingredients.

Buzbee ended the caption with:

"A portion of our profits is donated to veteran causes. I’m happy the Governor vetoed the bill that would have resulted in the complete ban of products like these, because this one isn’t dangerous but is instead a healthy, safe alternative to alcohol. TASTES LIKE FREEDOM!!"

The first drinks by Tony Buzbee were reportedly launched in September 2023 in collaboration with Washington Ho under the HoBuzz brand.

Tony Buzbee launches Patriot Brands after split with Washington Ho

While the brand gained some interest from fans, the partnership between Washington Ho and Tony Buzbee ended in less than a year, as per Chron.

The split left many guessing what went wrong, but the Houston Business Journal later shared that Washington Ho stepped away from HoBuzz to turn his attention to the cannabis business and real estate, saying low output from 8th Wonder and legal issues with Delta-8 THC played a role.

On the other hand, Buzbee disagreed with Ho’s claims. Buzbee continued working with 8th Wonder, a Houston-based brewery, and his son, Anthony Buzbee Jr., to launch a new seltzer brand called Patriot Brands.

As reported by Chron, Ben Meggs, CEO of Bayou City Hemp and 8th Wonder, talked about their partnership through the statement:

"With our brands experiencing rapid growth, we are now dedicating 100 percent of our efforts to expanding and enhancing our own portfolio, including a recently announced business partnership with former HoBuzz partner, Tony Buzbee. Bayou City Hemp is focused on solidifying its presence in Texas—but also actively expanding into new markets, including Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and several other states."

In August 2024, Tony Buzbee uploaded an Instagram photo of the new 'The Patriot' drink, keeping fans updated with the new drink. The caption read:

"This drink is the absolute best I’ve ever had!! It will be on shelves across Houston very soon. American made; veteran owned; Freedom flavored!!!"

The drink is now available at Spec’s and Total Wine, as per Buzbee's caption.
