Kane Brown and Taylor Swift share a close bond

Kane Brown and Taylor Swift's warm friendship is rooted in their shared Nashville roots. Swift’s family moved to Hendersonville, a suburb of the country music capital, when she was thirteen, so she could pursue a career in the music industry. Brown, who is originally from Chattanooga, also moved to Nashville for similar reasons.

Recently, the duo performed a surprise duet during a benefit concert for Tight End University in Nashville. The event took place in June this year with around 1,200 attendees. Kane Brown was the final performer, and towards the end of his set, he invited Swift to join him on stage.

They spontaneously decided to cover the Fate of Opehlia singer’s Shake It Off track from her fifth studio album, 1989. Post her performance, Swift expressed her gratitude to Kane Brown and his band. They even clicked a picture backstage along with Travis Kelce, which was shared by Brown on his Instagram, along with the caption:

“When you think you’re the special guest BUT you’re not.”

Both artists have spoken highly of each other in interviews and on social media. While performing Shake It Off in Nashville, Swift reportedly paused mid-song to admire Brown’s tambourine skills. She quipped:

"Honestly, have you ever seen a tambourine played like this? This is fantastic work by Mr. Kane Brown."

In his recent chat with People magazine, Brown couldn’t stop raving about his dinner night with Swift and Kelce.

Describing the meal as “fire”, he praised the food served. He told the outlet:

“They just brought out a bunch of entrees so I didn't get to really order anything, but everything that I tried was so good.”

He added his statement, calling it a “highly-recommended place,” and also asked others to take a picture at the venue.

Kane Brown released his album, The High Road, in January this year. The album includes a total of 18 tracks featuring songs such as I Can Feel It, Miles on It, and Backseat Driver. It also features collaborations with artists like Khalid, Jelly Roll, Brown's wife Katelyn Brown, and Brad Paisley.
