Nicki Minaj’s Instagram deactivation has spread like wildfire on the internet sparking widespread reactions from his fans, the Barbz. It prompted them to share screenshots of the 'User not found' error on X.

According to posts on the social media platform, Minaj’s Instagram account, who has 230 million followers, got deactivated overnight on October 20, 2025.

Some on X interpreted the move as “new album energy” suggesting it could be a strategic step. Others called it a “good news” because the rapper also announced she is canceling her upcoming album and hinted at quitting music altogether.

The internet was shocked when the news of Nicki Minaj’s Instagram account deactivation spread online. The move come amidst her drama where Nicki cancelled her Instagram account in October 2025. Here is how the users reacted to it:

Minaj, whose official name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, is a Trinidadian rapper and singer based in United States. She made her debut with the album titled, Pink Friday, which released in November 2010. Her debut song, I Get Crazy featuring Weezy, launched at No. 87 on the Hot Rap Songs chart in August 2009.

According to Billboard, Minaj became the first solo rapper to have a single debut at Number One on the Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill in 1998, with Super Freaky Girl in 2022. The Side to Side rapper recently announced that she is canceling the release of her much-anticipated sixth studio album, which was slated for March 27, 2026.
