While it was announced that GTA 6 will be released in May 2026, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has hinted that the game could be delayed further, as per the outlet's report, dated May 9, as per Dexerto.

GTA 6 had been one of the most anticipated games in history. The release of the second trailer had set a record for being the most viewed video across platforms. Recently, Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, who primarily covers the video game industry, hinted that the release of GTA 6 could be delayed even beyond May 2026.

In a report, he said:

"There’s no guarantee that May 2026 is a sure thing. It’s a massive game of 4D chess playing out across the entire video-game industry, as business analysts at every major company try to discern whether Rockstar will actually finish the game in time for a May 2026 release date so they can plan accordingly."
