On December 17, Piers Morgan interviewed Candace Owens as a guest on his show. The latest show marked Candace Owens' first appearance following her recent meeting with Erika Kirk. During the Piers Morgan Uncensored episode, Candace was asked about his claims and conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk’s murder.
Among other things, Piers Morgan asked Candace Owens about what evidence she has relating to allegations she made against Kirk’s organization, TPUSA. To this, Candace said that she doesn’t have concrete evidence. Further, Piers Morgan asked Candace to name two TPUSA members whom she believed to have been involved in Charlie’s murder.
To this, Candace responded that she can’t reveal names, as her investigation is still in process. When Morgan asked if she thinks Mike McCoy has prior knowledge of Charlie Kirk’s murder. To this, Candace replied:
“I can't say that he had prior knowledge of of the murder unless I have something concrete. I can't say anything about prior knowledge. What I can say is what happened on that day. Mikey's behavior is weird on that day.”
Going forward in their conversation, Piers Morgan asked her why she revealed Mike McCoy’s name without evidence. He went on to slam Owens for mentioning Mike McCoy’s name in her podcast without any evidence. He said:
“But here's the problem, Candace. You have a massive platform. As you know, millions and millions of people hang on your every word. When you devote a large part of an entire episode to the strange behavior of Charlie Kirk's chief of staff, you are putting a target on the guy's back. You're inferring it has something to do with this or something to do with some cover up or whatever it is you're inferring.
He further said that Candace Owens is just throwing mud in the air with names of people without evidence.
“No, I think like a lot of the claims you're making is it's a it's difficult to work out what you're actually claiming. You're throwing a lot of mud in the air, including people's names, which immediately then has millions of people chasing after these guys on social media and think I'm sorry they get caught lying.”
Candace Owens mentioned Mike McCoy’s call logs on Piers Morgan's show
Candace stated why she was skeptical of Mike McCoy, Charlie Kirk's chief of staff. Owens told Piers Morgan that Mike McCoy said he contacted Erika Kirk immediately after Charlie Kirk was shot, but her call logs proved that he did not call her. Following Charlie Kirk's assassination, Mike McCoy made the first call to his wife, Elizabeth. Candace Owens said:
“I find it weird like I said in the podcast yesterday that what has been communicated to the public is like he called Erika instantly. Instantly, first thing he did was call in Erika instantly. And that's actually the call logs show that he didn't call Erika instantly.”
On December 15, Candace Owens met Erika Kirk in Nashville. Owens repeatedly doubted TPUSA, alleging that they were concealing something crucial regarding Charlie Kirk's death, which led to this encounter.
