President Donald Trump is not a fan of Taylor Swift and never fails to make it clear to the world. The controversial political figure has expressed in no uncertain terms that he dislikes singer Taylor Swift.
On May 15, 2025, the controversial political figure took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to post that the Bad Blood singer was no longer “hot.”
"Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”
Trump didn’t elaborate on his post about Taylor Swift but made another contentious post about the celebrated American rock singer Springsteen. At the first show of his British tour this week, the musician delivered his most recent jab at President Trump and his administration, labeling them "treasonous" and "incompetent." Trump posted on Truth Social,
“I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States. Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious J*RK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country.”
Trump’s statements about the celebrated singers have been criticized on different social media platforms.
The American Federation of Musicians criticizes Donald Trump’s statements about Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen
Trump’s contentious statements against Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen didn’t go unnoticed by the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada. The association’s president, Tino Gagliardi, condemned Trump’s posts about its members, emphasizing that musicians have the right to freedom of expression,
"The American Federation of Musicians will not remain silent as the president of the United States singles out and personally attacks two of our members, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift are not just brilliant musicians; they are role models and inspirations to millions of people in the United States and across the world."
The statement continued:
"Whether ‘Born in the USA’ or the Eras Tour, their music is timeless, impactful, and has deep cultural meaning. Musicians have the right to freedom of expression, and we stand in solidarity with all our members.”
In September 2024, Taylor Swift, who had been mindful of publicly supporting any of the presidential candidates, broke her resolve to share her thoughts about Kamala Harris.
Following the presidential debate hosted by ABC, the Bad Blood hitmaker declared that she would be voting for Kamala Harris because the latter championed women’s rights. Taylor Swift also called out Donald Trump and his campaign team for using AI-generated images of her for his presidential campaign.
Days after Swift’s Instagram endorsement of Kamala Harris, Donald Trump took to his Truth social media posting:
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
At the time of writing, Taylor Swift had not replied to Trump’s statement about her.
