Popular South Korean streamer Jinnytty was recently assaulted while live streaming in France. Unfortunately, incidents of streamers being assaulted during live broadcasts have become increasingly common this year, and Jinnytty is the latest to experience this. Back in March, popular female streamers Cinna, Emiru and Valkyrae were also attacked by a man during a livestream on Santa Monica Pier.

The streamer, who has over a million subscribers on the Amazon-owned platform Twitch, was attacked while live streaming her visit to the city of Toulouse.

During her May 8 livestream, Jinnytty was engaging with her viewers when suddenly she was attacked by a man with no warning whatsoever. As reported by Dexerto, the man insulted Jinny and the whole Asian community when he erroneously called the Korean Streamer a Chinese.

As Jinnytty was exploring the city of Toulouse while chatting with her viewers about a ride share app, a man who is yet to be identified drove by on a scooter wearing a black shirt and a face cap. After spotting her a few moments later, he pulled up close to her and started a confrontation.

In the video going viral, we can hear him shout:

“Why are you filming? Dirty Chinese Girl. Get out of here, you dirty wh*re!”

Before smacking her camera and riding off.

Although she wasn't injured, Jinnytty was shocked by the incident. She spoke to her viewers:

“What the f**k was that? I was filming my face. I wasn’t pointing at him, I was just showing him, and then he went behind in the background. This is a public area.”

Following the confrontation, the stream room was filled with several users urging her to file a complaint with the police, but Jinnytty refused, saying there was nothing they could do. However, her response didn't stop her fans from alerting the French authorities about the assault.

An X user @NicolasTeka tweeted:

“Streamer Jinnytty was in France to explore Toulouse. Are we going to let this idiot's violence go unpunished in front of thousands of people around the world? It would be good to do something to find him. @PoliceNationale @PoliceNat31 @Interieur_Gouv” while tagging several French police accounts.

Responding to the attack, the Deputy Mayor of Toulouse, Emilion Esnault, vowed to get justice for Jinnytty:

“Full support for Jinnytty, the streamer insulted and attacked during a live stream in Toulouse. Like too many people in Toulouse, she has been subjected to unacceptable behavior. Justice must be firm to end this impunity,” he said.

This isn't the first time Jinnytty has been attacked during a live stream. In February 2023, while touring Argentina, she was a victim of phone snatching. This incident became memorable when the thief forgot to turn off the live stream during his escape.
