The rapper Ca$h Out, whose legal name is John-Michael Hakeem Gibson is facing serious criminal charges including sex trafficking, rape, and luring women into prostitution, as reported by Fox5Altanta. Additionally, he is also charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

On Friday, June 13, a woman, allegedly Ca$h Out's ex-girlfriend, testified in court. She told the court that she dated and was managed by Gibson. She told the court that over the several years she lived with Gibson in different homes in Atlanta, she and another woman would perform sex acts for money.

She also said those sexual encounters were set up by Gibson, and whatever money they made, they had to give it to either Gibson or his mother, as per Atlanta News First. Gibson's mother, Linda Smith, is also on trial.

More about the allegations against Ca$h Out

The legal trial of the American rapper Ca$h Out is ongoing. Recently, during a trial on Friday, the rapper's ex-girlfriend testified, saying that she and another woman had to perform acts set up by Gibson.

She also told the court that she was instructed to put the money they got from these acts in the kitchen drawers. She said that the women were either hired online or from the streets. She also alleged that at times she had sent the money to Gibson's mother digitally.

As per reports, Gibson and four others used the music company, Pyrez Music Group LLC, to recruit young women and engage them in commercial sexual activities, as per the indictment. Prosecutors are also claiming that the women were told that they would receive financial opportunities, status, and power within the company.

Other than Gibson, the other defendants included in the indictment are his mother, Linda Smith, or Mama Ca$h Out, Kierra Danieele Adams, also known as Boots, Demetrius Lamont Edwards, and Tyrone Orlando Taylor.

Ca$h Out is best known for his 2014 debut album Let's Get It, and has worked with many prominent artists, including Lil Durk and Migos. Gibson was indicted in Fulton County, Georgia, back in June 2023 on various charges including human trafficking and rape.

According to All Hip Hop, the jury selection had begun on Monday, June 2, 2025, while the opening statements took place on Wednesday afternoon, June 11. During the opening statements, the prosecutors listed the allegations along with their details.

Since Ca$h Out and his co-defendants are facing grave allegations, the trial is expected to last several weeks. It should be noted that Gibson and his co-defendants have pleaded not guilty, and the case will be moving forward for evidence presentation before it reaches the jury.
