American actress Dakota Johnson hilariously responded to fans dressing up as different versions of herself for 2025 Halloween.

In a video circulating on social media, a group of friends cosplayed the Fifty Shades actress, recreated her iconic moments, and playfully guessed which Dakota would get the most drunk at the party.

The Dakotas included Fifty Shades Darker Dakota, I Love Limes Dakota, Dakota Johnson on Ellen, Madame Web Dakota, Suspiria Dakota, Fifty Shades of Grey Dakota, Pap Walk 2025 Dakota, Fifty Shades Freed Dakota, Materialistic Dakota, and Bad Times at the El Royale Dakota.

The TikTok video has garnered over 2.8 million views and over 600k likes at the time of writing.

It seems the video reached Dakota Johnson’s FYP, as the actress reposted it on her Teatime Pictures account. She added her own version to the end of the clip, saying:

“I’m Dakota Johnson dressed as Dakota Johnson, and I think that Dakota Johnson is going to get the most drunk tonight.”

Dakota Johnson recently starred in a 2025 American comedy film, Splitsville. The film was directed by Michael Angelo Covino, who also acted in it and co-wrote it alongside Kyle Marvin.

Splitsville’s plot synopsis on IMDb reads:

“When Ashley asks for a divorce, the good-natured Carey runs to his friends, Julie and Paul, for support. Their secret to happiness is an open marriage; that is, until Carey crosses the line and throws all of their relationships into chaos.”

In an interview with Ynet about the film, Dakota Johnson said:

“The film is very funny. And I think it's way better to approach difficult subjects with humor.”

She revealed in another interview with MammaMia that she wanted to play the character Julie.

“I wanted to play Julie because she's a woman who seems like she's okay and has to put on a really brave face for everybody and take care of everyone around her. But really, inside Julie is a very sad and very unhappy woman, and that just felt very honest to me. This character felt like a lot of women that I've witnessed in my own life.”

Splitsville was released on August 22, 2025.
