CLC’s Elkie reveals that her carboxyhemoglobin levels were at 20% as she shared a health update from the hospital
The former CLC member explained that she didn’t perceive any odor or smoke and had merely felt tired and wanted to lie down at the time. She added that she had gotten used to “toughing it out” and that she had no idea how dangerous her situation was.
She revealed her carboxyhemoglobin levels at the time she was admitted to the hospital:
"After getting hospitalized, my carboxyhemoglobin level was already at 20% (it was said that it should normally be around 1-1.5%). So, based on my situation, the poisoning level was mild to moderate."
She assured everyone that she was fine now:
"After inpatient examinations + hyperbaric oxygen therapy, my condition has become stable. I’m here to tell everyone I’m okay. Thank you to everyone who helped me."
She left some tips to warn everyone about carbon monoxide:
"Carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless, so you don’t feel anything when you inhale it. If you have a water heater, gas stove, or charcoal fireplace at home, you must ensure there’s adequate ventilation. Poisoning doesn’t only happen when you’re showering—it could happen when air ventilation is not adequate. I strongly recommend installing a carbon monoxide detector. It could save lives."
She added:
"If you think you have carbon monoxide poisoning, please remember the following:exclamation:1. Immediately open the windows for ventilation.2. Immediately leave the scene.3. Go to the hospital or call for help.4. Don’t try to tough it out when you feel dizzy. Sit or lie down as soon as possible to avoid falling and getting injured (good thing I didn’t become stupid from hitting my head this time)."
