A recent dispute between Atlanta rappers Young Thug and Ralo started after an old police interrogation clip of Young surfaced online. In that recording, Young Thug mentioned Peewee Roscoe.

Although Roscoe later clarified that Thug did not harm him, the clipboard reignited rumors of “snitching.” Those rumors quickly sparked a more intense exchange among artists and fans about loyalty and legal choices. Ralo responded publicly on social media and during a livestream.

He accused Young Thug of pressuring others in Atlanta’s rap scene to distance themselves and cut ties. The remarks reignited attention on old tensions while adding weight to ongoing legal narratives. The story unfolds in three parts: the cause, Ralo’s criticism, and Thug’s response.

Leaked audio triggered snitching discussion

An old interrogation clip of Thug began making the rounds online, and it included his mention of Peewee Roscoe. Although Roscoe defended Young afterward, the clip triggered fresh talk about who may have shared information with law enforcement. These rumors ramped up tension in the local hip-hop community and drew public attention to unresolved conflicts.

Ralo said Thug created divisions in the rap scene

Ralo spoke on a livestream and in social posts, naming Atlanta rappers and accusing Young Thug of driving wedges between them. He said,

“Well b**** I lied to the Feds fr and you still called Lil Baby and told him to cut me off cuz I wasn’t right so now you gone have to go through what Me and Gunna went through and we waiting on that gospel album too twin…”

Ralo claimed he admitted to lying to federal agents, yet was still cut off by Thug, who allegedly encouraged Lil Baby to distance himself. He said this behavior contributed to growing mistrust among artists.

Young Thug said his actions were meant to help friends

Young replied in a social media post, drawing a firm distinction between his behavior and what Ralo was accused of. As reported by ValdTV, he wrote,

“See the difference between me and you is ... You actually told on real people. ... I made an honest mistake saying that we sold Lil Wayne weed to try to prove to the detectives that we wasn’t beefing with him. ... I tried to free my mans. U tried to fry yours.”

In his message, Thug explained that his comment about selling weed was not meant to harm anyone, but to shift attention away from suspects who might have been targeted by investigators. He said that, in his view, he acted out of loyalty rather than betrayal.

An old police recording involving Young sparked renewed discussions of snitching. Ralo responded by accusing Young Thug of encouraging broken bonds in Atlanta’s rap community and pointed to his own admission of lying to the Feds.

Thug countered by saying his own comment was a misstep made to protect friends, not endanger them. The two sides remain vocal, and the debate about loyalty, legal pressure, and credibility continues in the public eye.
