Jessica Simpson has revealed what she wants in her future man during an interview with Jenna Bush Hager on Today.
In January 2024, the I Wanna Love You Forever singer announced her divorce from Eric Johnson. The couple were married for around a decade. Simpson is back with new music, and following the release of her latest single, Fade, fans have been speculating whether some of the lyrics are directed at her ex-husband.
According to E! News, Simpson told Jenna during the Today interview:
"I'm ready... My type of person is one of a kind. I don't have a look or anything like that. I just like for somebody to be individually who they are and exude confidence without the ego. It's hard to find, but I feel like it's out there."
However, there are certain things Simpson would not give up on. She continued:
"If I could have the independence that I have now and give to somebody else, that would be cool."
The 45-year-old singer elaborated on how she feels about love.
"I love love... I'm very passionate. I have a lot to give. I'm a very good kisser. He has to be a very good kisser. To me, that's the most intimate thing. Grab my face and pull me in.... Can you tell I need it?" she jokingly asked the hosts.

Six months after her divorce, Jessica Simpson is focusing on herself and her music career. She told E! News:
