Julian McMahon passed away on July 2, 2025, after battling cancer. His wife, Kelly Paniagua, revealed to news outlets that the Fantastic Four actor had battled privately with cancer and died in Clearwater, Florida.

Kelly McMahon described her late husband as one who loved his family and had a wish to spread joy to all who came across him:

Legendary television producer Dick Wolf who worked with McMahon on FBI: Most Wanted, expressed his shock and sadness at the passing of the talented actor:

Similarly, the official Nip/Tuck Facebook page mourned the loss of the actor who had played the role of Christian Troy from 2003 to 2010 with a remembrance post which read:
“Warner Bros. Television mourns the loss of our friend Julian McMahon. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and fans.”
The 56-year-old actor was born in July 1968 and was only two years old when his father, William McMahon, assumed office as the Australian Prime Minister in 1971. His mother was heiress and socialite Sonia McMahon.
Julian McMahon starred in movies like Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, as the villain Dr. Doom. The Australian-born actor was a law student at the University of Sydney and briefly studied economics before dropping out and beginning a career in modelling.
He walked the runways in Milan, New York, London, Paris and Rome before landing a role on the popular Australian Soap Opera Home & Away. He first appeared on the big screen in the 1992 film Wet and Wild Summer!
Julian McMahon earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance as Dr. Christian Troy on the Nip/Tuck series. He starred in several blockbuster films including Premonition and Prisoner.
