Louis Tomlinson’s net worth is estimated at $60 million in 2025, according to Celebrity Net Worth. A big part of these earnings came from his former band, One Direction.
In a recent statement to Rolling Stone UK, the singer also opened up on how his friend and bandmate Liam Payne has been wronged. Speaking of the same, he said:
"Anyone who knew him [Liam] personally would know how deeply unfair that was. Anything that he got wrong in life, Liam – which, by the way, we all do daily – it was never through malice. It was only through miscommunication – him just not being able to express himself in the way he needed to."
Liam passed away in October 2024, with the cause of death reported as polytrauma. Tomlinson said Liam was often misunderstood and simply wanted to be liked. He added he hopes fans understand this side of him.
Since the band’s split, Louis Tomlinson has been releasing solo albums, which have added to his recognition.
Louis Tomlinson's fortune explored
The 33-year-old singer and songwriter has co-written many songs for One Direction, including the famous song Night Changes. In 2013, Louis Tomlinson paid himself a salary of £5.6 million from the band’s UK earnings, according to a statement reported by the BBC.
Speaking of the band's 15th anniversary, he told Rolling Stone:
"It was really uncomfortable, actually, the 15th anniversary, because the [collective] feeling to celebrate is as important, if not more important than ever, on behalf of Liam"
The band also topped Heat magazine’s under-30 rich list, giving a glimpse of the amount the band made in their active years. In his solo journey, Louis has worked with many famous artists, including Bebe Rexha and Steve Aoki.
His debut song, Just Hold On, with Steve Aoki, hit many charts, adding to his earnings from the streams. The singer has over 2 million monthly listeners, with hit songs like Lemonade, Miss You, and Always You.
Louis Tomlinson is also set to release a new album, How Did I Get Here?, next year. Another major part of his fortune comes from his tours, with a new tour starting in March next year.
Speaking of the album, he told the outlet:
"I hope it feels like a reflection of how confident I am, but breezy is a real nice way of putting it. It’s been a long time since, professionally and personally, I’ve been able to have a little spring in my step. So, hopefully that comes across in the record."
Alongside his singing career, he has explored the entertainment industry, appearing in an episode of iCarly and lending his voice to an episode of Family Guy, according to IMDb. Louis Tomlinson also released the documentary All of Those Voices. However, the exact payment he received has not been made public.
