Joanna Gaines recently shared updates about the living situation of her son, Crew Gaines, and it has caused a stir on social media. Crew Gaines, the youngest of five siblings, has his room renovated recently as well, and now he has his own custom-made treehouse. The Fixer Upper star recently took to social media to share photos of the creative space that she designed for her son by herself.
The treehouse is reportedly believed to have been designed as a personal retreat for Crew that would help increase his creative capabilities as well. Joanna Gaines explained the significance of the space in Magnolia Journal. A snapshot of the treehouse was also posted on Instagram later. The post was accompanied by a caption that read:
"My column for this summer’s #magnoliajournal was inspired by my son Crew's treehouse. It's a space we built for him knowing that it's often in small, creative spaces that our imaginations feel the freest. It's always been this way for me. Whenever I can bring the walls in, so to speak, and quiet the world's noise and influence, that's when I feel boundless—in heart and spirit. This issue is spurring me on in so many unexpected ways this season. I hope you’ll grab a copy and that it might do the same for you."
The treehouse is reported to have dual purposes: it serves both as a hideaway and an artistic place. Crew Gaines' living situation represents the perfect balance of whimsy and functionality, which is bound to be every child's dream. The sophisticated look has also been well received by fans on social media, whereby they chimed in with their comments of appreciation for the treehouse.
Joanna and Chip have created a magical childhood world for their children, and pictures of Crew's treehouse were shared after his room also underwent a transformation recently.
Joanna Gaines' approach to parenting
Joanna Gaines has five children with her husband, Chuck, with Drake being the oldest at 20 years and Crew the youngest at 6 years old. As one of the more famous couples in the country, Joanna and Chuck have taken a proactive yet relaxed approach to their children's upbringing. The couple also regularly takes to social media to share stills from their daily life with their children.
This wasn't the first time that Joanna Gaines has taken a keen interest in designing the rooms of her children. She has previously devoted time to renovating each of her children's rooms separately as well. Crew's bedroom also came into the news recently for having been turned into a butler's pantry, as Joanna flexed her creative muscles to the world.
She shared pictures of the renovated bedroom in a recent Instagram post in which she said:
"When my youngest, Crew, announced that he was ready to move into the big boy room, it meant reimagining how to utilize his bedroom (which just so happens to be a tucked-away space just off the kitchen). Additional space for cooking & entertaining became the leading idea, and from there we transformed this extra room into an inspiring butler’s pantry where all my sourdough dreams can come true"
The way Joanna Gaines and Chuck have built a great place for their children and how they continue to surprise them and fans alike with updates about the renovations on social media is truly amazing. Crew just happens to be the latest recipient of his parents' spontaneity and creativity. At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if it were revealed that behind his candid smile, Crew wears a crown that says “Luckiest Kid Ever” in glittery letters.
