Mick Ralphs, the vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist, died on Monday, June 23, 2025, according to The Guardian. He was a founding member of the English rock band Mott the Hoople and the supergroup Bad Company.
The exact cause of death has not been disclosed. Ralphs was 81 at the time of his passing. Some of his most memorable and beloved tracks include All the Young Dudes, Feel Like Makin’ Love, and Ready for Love.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Ralphs had an estimated net worth of $10 million. His last public performance took place at London’s O₂ Arena in October 2016. Shortly after, he suffered a stroke, which left him bedridden until his death.

The news of Ralphs' passing was shared by Paul Rodgers, the vocalist of Bad Company. The Wrap reported that Rodgers said:
''Our Mick has passed, my heart just hit the ground. He has left us with exceptional songs and memories. He was my friend, my songwriting partner, an amazing and versatile guitarist who had the greatest sense of humor. Our last conversation a few days ago we shared a laugh but it won’t be our last.''
Ralphs was the guitarist and singer for Mott the Hoople from 1969 to 1973. After the band disbanded, he went on to co-found Bad Company. Some of the Mott the Hoople hits that featured Ralphs include Honaloochie Boogie, All the Way from Memphis, and Rock and Roll Queen.
Simon Kirke, drummer and co-founder of Bad Company, also paid tribute, calling Ralphs "a dear friend, a wonderful songwriter, and an exceptional guitarist. We will miss him deeply."
Ralphs last performed with Bad Company in the UK during their Swan Song tour, joining Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke for the reunion show. As per People, Bad Company has been selected as an inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2025, and Mick will be honored posthumously.

Bad Company's last tour was in 2019, and they concluded it with a performance in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
