Popular streamer Pokimane has finally spoken up about the sexual assault allegations that took the streaming community by storm last week. On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Pokimane took to her official X account to discuss the controversies. The streamer began by stating why she hadn't spoken about the issues till now. She claimed that she didn't want to take the attention away from the victims of the assault.

“I've gotten a lot of comments asking me to speak on recent news, and I didn't tweet sooner because I felt the focus should be on the victims and allegations, but it also feels wrong not to say anything :( sexual assault and harassment should be taken seriously regardless of the gender of the perpetrator or victim.”

She condemned the actions of abusers and revealed she had a lot of past traumas, which she is considering sharing publicly.

“There's already so much shame associated with speaking out on these experiences, when in reality the shame should lie with the abuser.”

She added:

“If I'm ever slow to comment on things like this, it's because these situations bring up a lot of emotions from my own past traumas, which I don't know if I'll share publicly. I hope this makes my stance clear.”

More details on the recent sexual assault allegations

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, popular Twitch streamer Emiru accused fellow streamer and former partner Mizkif of sexual assault, abuse, stalking, and threats of blackmail. She revealed in an emotional livestream that she had been trying to separate herself from Mizkif and was ready to share the alleged abuse the streamer put her through.

“Today I'm finally going to be opening up about the psychological and domestic abuse, stalking and harassment, sexual assault, and threats of blackmail that Mizkif has done towards me.”

She continued:

“For the entirety of this year, I have attempted to separate myself from him and not talk about him at all, not talk about this issue, and not make it a public thing. I always tried my best to keep this to myself. Still, I feel it has gone to the point, which I'll explain later, that I feel like it just has to be done.”

She proceeded to recount disturbing incidents in which Mizkif seemingly assaulted her sexually and threatened her.

In the days following her confessions, several streamers, such as Asmongold and YourRage, have reacted.

Another sexual assault controversy that happened last week was between Nina Lin, Said, and Zoe Spencer. An old livestream from 2024 resurfaced, showcasing Nina Lin holding down an uncomfortable Said for another streamer, Zoe Spencer, to twerk on against his consent.

The video sparked public outrage, leading to a ban of both Nina and Zoe’s Twitch accounts.

Nina addressed the situation on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and apologised to Said.

“I’m old enough to own up to what I did wrong, and during the situation, I genuinely and one hundred per cent thought it was a joke. I just thought he was laughing, so I'm like, we are all laughing and giggling. Yeah, but I see. It is really wrong. It is really, really wrong, and what we did was wrong.”

She added:

“He clearly was uncomfortable with it, you know, and he was very hurt by it. But I do wanna let you know I got mad love for Said, no matter what he says about me, I do have love for Said, and he’s been nothing but great.”
