Funk Flex mentioned Diddy during his latest slot on Hot 97. Flex, whose real name is Aston George Taylor Jr., is an American DJ, record producer, rapper, and host on the radio station Hot 97. Aston played Craig Mack's Flava in Ya Ear during his segment. The song was released by Diddy's record label, Bad Boy Records, in 1994.

The radio host said:

"This right here. Diddy, what’s going on, baby? I know you were talking about playing the Garden. I’ll come through."

Going back to Mack's Flava in Ya Ear, he added:

"This was so crazy."

Funk Flex's mention of Madison Square Garden came after Sean Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, revealed that the infamous rapper is planning to make a comeback to music after he is released from prison.

What did Diddy's lawyer say about him returning to the music industry?

Currently, Sean Combs is still in prison and is waiting for his sentencing date, which is October 3. During an interview with CBS Mornings, Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, mentioned that his client looks forward to seeing his family after being in prison for almost a year. Professionally speaking, he also mentioned that Diddy is planning to return to music and the stage.

Agnifilo said in support of his client:

"He's going to be back at Madison Square Garden... And I said 'I'll be there.'"

In addition to the future plans, Marc also added:

"He wants people to know that he has reflected on the blessings that he's been given... On the imperfections that I think he sees in himself. I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother."

Latest update on Diddy's case

The rapper remains behind bars following Judge Subramanian’s ruling. He attempted to place bail, but was denied for the second time.

The court documents read:

"As for risk of flight or danger, Combs fails to meet his burden by clear and convincing evidence for the reasons set forth on the record at the July 2, 2025, hearing... Increasing the amount of the bond or devising additional conditions doesn't change the calculus given the circumstances and heavy burden of proof that Combs bears."

Funk Flex's radio shoutout has brought the attention of many to Sean Combs' possible comeback after he is released from prison. His lawyer has confirmed that he will be making his comeback at Madison Square Garden in New York.
